Local Scholarships

 

National Scholarships

New Scholarships will be placed at the top of the list. Seniors should also join Mrs. Lloyd's Google Classroom to have access to the applications.

 

Optimist Scholarship 3 $2,000 scholarships awarded to students from VW County. You must show your Volunteer work. DEADLINE: April 11th. 

Mercy Health Scholarship They award 10 $1500 one time scholarships to high achieving students who are considering careers in the medical field. Send to them. DEADLINE: February 28th

Wright State Lake Campus Scholarships There are several scholarships with one application. https://lake.wright.edu/campus-life/western-ohio-education-foundation-and-wright-state-univrsity-donor-scholarships#woef DEADLINE: February 1st.

Masonic Scholarship One boy and one girls will be chosen from Paulding, Van Wert, Putnam and Mercer Counties. $1500. Must be going to college or trade school.  DEADLINE March 1st.

Midwest Electric Scholarship If you are serviced by Midwest Electric then you are eligible for this award. https://midwestred.com/scholarships   
Deadline: February 14th.

YWCA Scholarship You must reside in Van Wert County and is for a female. DEADLINE: February 13th.  Turn in to the YWCA.

Paulding Putnam Electric Cooperative Scholarship If you are serviced by Paulding Putnam, then you are eligible for this scholarship. http://www.ppec.coop/scholars  DEADLINE: February 10th.

In Your Trade Scholarship This is a Lincolnview Only $500 Scholarship for anyone planning to attend a trade school or for someone going straight to the workforce. Turn in to the high school office. DEADLINE: April 1st.

Ohio Natural Energy Scholarship Must have a career goal related to the natural gas and oil industry, this could include business, so you should check the listing of what degrees are included. http:OhioNaturalEnergy.org/scholarships DEADLINE: March 1st.

Knights of Columbus Patriotism Essay 125 words or less. Due to them by Feb. 12th.

Cooper Farms Scholarship This is open to anyone, but if your parent works at Cooper you should definitely apply. Turn in to high school office. DEADLINE: February 23rd.

Heritage Scholarship This is a Lincolnview ONLY scholarship. For one girl who attends church, youth group, or a faith based group. $1,000 scholarship awarded.  DEADLINE: March 1st to the office.

Elks Legacy Scholarship The Elks award $1.4 million in college scholarships worth $4,000 each to a total of 350 children and grandchildren of elks members. DEADLINE February 3, 2025.  enf.elks.org/leg

Elks Student of the Month:
VIEW IN GOOGLE CLASSROOM. The Elks sponsor this program. Two students from Van Wert Co. and Wayne Trace schools will be selected every month until April. If you submit early, you will be considered EACH MONTH for an award.  Each winner will receive a certificate of achievement and a monetary award. You will also attend the ELK breakfast in the spring.  They will select a district winner with the opportunity to receive $1,000.  Nominees are judged on community service, work experience, honors and award, leadership and extracurricular activities. First deadline is the 15 of October and then the 15th of every month until April 15th.

Rhodes State College Scholarships:

Once you've been accepted to Rhodes you can visit this website to apply for their scholarships. You fill out ONE APPLICATION. Everyone is eligible for 21 of the 240 scholarships. It will automatically verify if you are eligible for others. 

Ohio State Scholarships:

The program is open to historically under-resourced and underrepresented students who are permanent residents of Colorado, the District of Columbia, Florida, Kentucky, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Texas. Scholarship Foundation This is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship. The scholarship is designed to help recipients graduate college debt free. Recipients must graduate from a public HS located in a county in the US having fewer than 50,000 residents. It provides up to $6,000 each semester for up to 8 semesters.  Go to www.hsfmo.org for information.

OMACCS Scholarship LEADS Scholarship This is for students going to career colleges. 185 scholarship awarded ranging from $500 to $8,000. Go to www.omaccs.org under the scholarship link. 

Abbott and Fenner Scholarship Program They will be awarding up to $1,000 to the winner(s) this year.  It is an essay competition. Go to http://www.abbottandfenner.com/scholarships.htm for more details. 

Ohio News Media foundation Scholarship This non-profit foundation offers a $1,500 scholarship for minority HS seniors in Ohio who plan to major in a field relevant to the newspaper industry, particularly jounralism, advertising, marketing, or communications degree programs at an accredited college or university with the US.
