Morning Announcements

College Night will be held on Wednesday, September 16th from 6-7:30 in the community center.

Freshman class meeting will be held in the lecture hall on Thursday, Sept 17th during Lancer Time.

Extra 2026 Junior high/High school yearbooks are now on sale for those who did not order one last spring. They are $55. Cash or checks accepted. Please see Mrs. Ringwald or any yearbook staff member to purchase.

Juniors and Seniors, College representatives with Ohio Northern University will be here Wednesday and the University of Saint Francis will be here on Thursday during Lancer Time. Sign up in Google Classroom or your English Class.

Attention students:  Are you interested in learning more about any of the United States Military Academies?  Congressman Bob Latta will be having an information meeting on Thursday, September 24 at 7 PM at Owens Community College. See Mrs. Lloyd or Mr. Mendenhall for more details. 

Reminder to all students, tonight is the Grandtand Invite at the Van Wert County Fairgrounds. All youth elementary students Pre K to 6th grade are invited to run in different races beginning at 6pm. There will also be food trucks available, so come out and get some food while supporting the Lancer Cross Country Teams! Go Lancers!

This Friday is Fall Fest starting at 6:30pm located around the track area. There will be food trucks and concessions available along with fun for all ages! Meet the teams along with the band playing will begin at 7pm, come out and enjoy a fun evening with Lancers of all ages! 

Any High School Girl who is interested in playing basketball this upcoming winter season, please take a moment and sign up on the sign-up sheet in the Library, this week. Please reach out to Mr. Williams or Mrs. Stetler if you have questions" 

There will be a Junior High girls basketball meeting during lancer time this Friday.

Basketball cheer sign-ups are located in the high school office.

Morning Announcements

There will be a sophomore class meeting Today, during Lancer Time in the Lecture Hall. All sophomores should report to the Lecture Hall at the beginning of Lancer Time.

Spirit squad and anyone interested will meet in the high school entrance tonight from 5:30 to 6:30.

 The junior high cross country team competed in the Spencerville Bearcat Invitational on Saturday.

The girls placed 10th out of 27 schools & boys were 8th of 29!  The Lancers had 9 season best times:

·  The girls' improvements were led by Willow Snyder's 42 second drop & Kenzie Mount's 50 second improvement.

·  The boys' were led by time drops of 1 minute, 8 seconds for Crue Evans, & 33 seconds for Dylan Rank

The junior high cross country team races again on Tuesday at the Van Wert County Fairgrounds in the Lancer Cross Country Grandstand Invite. Racing starts at 6pm!

Morning Announcements

Juniors and Seniors, Defiance College will be visiting Lancer Time this week. Sign up in your Google Classroom or your English Class. 

Juniors and Seniors, there will be a FAFSA night informational meeting held at the Van Wert PAC on Wednesday, October 1st from 6-7pm. Stop in the office for an informational letter and see your email for more details. Please share with your family. 

Any student who is interested in pursuing a job at Universal Letter should see Mrs. Lloyd in the office for more information. 

Any junior, sophomore or freshman who would like to serve on Student Council, please stop by the library and pick up an application form. All applications are due by today, Wednesday, September 24th.

If there is any student who did not purchase a yearbook last year and would like one we do have extras. They are $50. Please see Mrs. Ringwald if interested.

This week is Day of Caring Week.  We will be having competitions in Lancer Time to see which Lancer Time group can collect the most items.  Tomorrow will be the last day to bring in items.

Juniors - please vote for class officers. The form has been sent to you. You have until Friday at noon to vote.                        

There will be a meeting on Friday in the lecture hall for any JH or HS student interested in playing baseball this Spring. 

The soccer team travelled to Corey-Rawson last night and defeated the Fighting Hornets 4-2. Goal scorers included, Rowan Sutton, and Garrett Mosier, while Aiden Campbell netted 2 goals. Assists came from Ainsley Hoffman, Oli Longstreth, Eli Owens, and Zavier Kemler. The team travels to Bluffton Monday night to take on the Pirates.

The junior high cross country teams competed at the Bath Cross Country Invitational on Tuesday evening. The girls team won the meet, beating out 12 other schools for their first invitational win of the season!!!  The team finished with just 30 points and were led by a 1-2 finish from eighth graders Maeleigh Evans & Addie Breese!  Other scoring runners included Harper Pohlman, Kenzie Mount, and Adelyn Bittner.  Evie Polley helped secure the victory by beating out the second place team's 5th runner!  Great race Lancers!!! 

The boys team placed 5th out of 15 schools.  They had three top-30 finishers including Mylan Hammons in 28th place.  Mylan ran his best race of the season with a near PR time on a night when most runners were 40 to 50 seconds slower than their season best. Keep up the good work boys!!!

The high school science club started spring break by competing in the Science Olympiad Regional at BGSU on Saturday, March 15th.  The team brought home 7 sets of medals - one more than last year - and twelve top ten finishes!  The following are the events in which the Lancers placed in the top ten:

Ecology - 2nd place - Moriah Bertsch & Lindsey Hatcher

Fossils - 5th place - Evan Elling & Abbie Jones

Helicopter - 5th place - Ella Stemen & Lincoln Anderson

Microbe Mission - 5th place - Lindsey & Alex Hefner

Optics - 5th place - Evan & Blaze Linser

Robot Tour - 5th place - Ella & Lincoln

Astronomy - 6th place - Lindsey & Finley Howard

Disease Detectives - 7th place - Kelsey VanCleave & Lindsey

Electric Vehicle - 7th place - Alex & Xavier Magner

Dynamic Planet - 10th place - Abbie & Lindsey

Tower - 10th place - Blaze & Lillian Mosier

Wind Power - 10th place - Ella & Finley

The team placed 9th out of 20 teams, and just one place out of qualifying for the state level competition! Well done Lancer Science Club!!

Morning Announcements:

Attention High School Students: The new 6th man banner is coming soon! If you want to be a part of the banner, you must wear a blue t-shirt on Thursday, August 22. The pictures will be taken during Lancer Time in the gym. 

Next Tuesday, Aug. 27th will be the last day to change schedules.

Anyone interested in joining FCA, you can fill out the google form sent to your school email.  There will also be a very brief meeting in the lecture hall on Friday during HS lancer time.

 If you are planning to do the service club this year, returning members please submit your paper form to the office.  New candidates, please complete the online form and turn in the signature page to the office.
